projects > A Self Compassion

A Self Compassion is a practice of suturing moments of present and past selves together. I spoke a continously revised dialog to younger versions of myself projected to scale; singing, soothing, warning, screaming. I will continue the practice at ten year intervals. I also tried retracing old writing and rematching old physiognomy, documented in video. The performance evolved into sited photographs in the house where the memories of previous selves were formed and where they can still be architecturally embodied through references of height, lines of sight, and quantities of occupied space.
